Belneftekhim assigns 6.3 billion dollars to its facilities

Belneftekhim Concern plans to invest about 6.3 billion dollars to its business units between now and 2010. It has been said by concern’s vice president Mikhail Osipenko at the press-conference in August, 29, according to Regnum International Agency.

As Osipenko mentioned, the investments are related to over 150 projects, including facilities’ re-equipment, upgrading and starting-up new production lines.

In the number of projects are building of paraxylene plant and setting into operation benzene facility at Mozyrsk oil-refinary site at the end of this year.

Within the re-equipment program is setting-up conversion and coker unit at OAO “Naftan”. Also polypropylene and polyethylene facilities will be built at OAO “Polimir”. The concern plans to install caustic soda production at PO “Khimvolokno”.

About 2.5 billion dollars were invested to Belarus petrochemical segment last 5 years.
