Fosagro supplied 250 000 tons of fertilizers to Russian customers

As of March 15, 2004 the distribution arm of agricultural chemicals producer Fosagro has sold over 250 000 tons of mineral fertilizers for sowing season, or actually 50% above the same period of the previous year.

This spring such phosphate fertilizers as compound blends (N:P:K=13:19:19, over 80 000 tons), ammophos (over 60 000 tons), diammophoska (over 25 000 tons) and traditional ammonium nitrate enjoy the highest demand from the agricultural producers.

Fosagro opened its offices in the nine major agricultural regions of Russia. Within five years the company fertilizers domestic shipments grew 30 times and in 2003 over a million tons of fertilizers were delivered to the Russian and CIS agricultural producers.

Fosagro company, which in 2003 occupied 35% of the Russian mineral fertilizers market, is currently one of the domestic fertilizers suppliers.

Mr. Sergei Pronin, Executive Director of Fertilizers Producers Association, noted: "The position of Fosagro is supported by other association members as well. Its experience will be used by Russian mineral fertilizers producers who joined the association. One of the main aims of the association is developing Russian national mineral fertilizers market, improving the soil fertility".
