In February 2004 Kemerovo-based Azot, a member of AK Sibur, shipped the following amounts of mineral fertilizers: 18 000 tons – for exports, 25 500 tons – for industrial consumers in the Russian Federation, 18 700 tons – to satisfy Russian agricultural requirements.
The shipments were delivered to Kemerovo, Tyumen, Kurgan, Sverdlovsk regions, Krasnodar and Stavropol area. Besides that, AK Sibur shipped additional 7 000 tons of carbamide for agricultural purposes.
74 400 tons of ammonium nitrate are expected to be produced in March. Meanwhile the domestic deliveries are expected to amount to 56 400 tons, and the export shipments – to 18 000 tons. The ammonium nitrate is to be delivered to the abovementioned regions. besides that, following the request from the Kemerovo region, the agricultural purpose shipments will grow from 4 000 up to 8 000 tons. The deliveries will be increased at the expense of the exports.
In March 2004 the scheduled carbamide shipments are to reach 13 500 tons. Besides that, JSC AK Sibur delivers up to 3 000 tons of ammonia sulphate per month (100% demand satisfaction).
Following the last year results about 35% of the overall fertilizers production output were sold at the RF territory to industrial and agricultural consumers.
But it should be taken into account that the mineral fertilizers enjoy seasonal demand. In that relation the company is just unable to satisfy all the requirements received during high season of field operations.
