Rcc.ru has already informed that according to Apatit perspective development plan the company started to build the deep horizons of the Kirovsky pit. We should remind that the "+90 meters" horizon is being build in order to commission in 2013 the 5 million t/y ore production capacities .
Underground crushing facilities of main shaft #2 of Kirovsky pit must be built in order to commission the "+90 meters" horizon. Special equipment must be delivered and installed; water, air, and power supply utilities must be arranged; the diggings ventilation facilities must be provided; mine waters pumping must be se up; elevators must be mounted. The pit development is related primarily to the underground and surface facilities of main shaft #2.
The main haulageways construction is currently underway. 13 600 m3 of rocks have been extracted during these works, in general 136 400 m3 of rocks are to be extracted. Stone drivages are performed by the mining department of JSC Apatit in accordance with the approved schedule following the working drawings by JSC Giproruda (St. Petersburg).
In 2004 the costs of startup facilities will amount to 67 million rubles, 38.5 million rubles were spent for these ends in 2003. The works are to continue in 2005 as well and the capital investments will increase.
